4.Because of His loving kindness. His truth, and His word. PSALM 138:1-2

5.Because He is worthy. REVELATION 4:10-11: 15:34; 7:15-12

6. To glorify Him. REVELATION 14:7

7. Because he is our God. PSALM 95-6-7

How We Worship God Each Lord's Day:

God has not only told man to worship john 4:24 but He has instructed us How to worship.

Each Lord's Day When We Meet Worship:

We Sing hymns and spiritual songs. Ephesians 5:9

We offer our prayer to God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Ephesians 5:20

We gather around the LORD'S TABLE to remember the body and blood of our Savior Jesus Christ. Ephesians 5:20

WE GIVE as we have been prospered. 1 Corinthians 16:1-2

WE PREACH and TEACH the Word of God. 1 Timothy 4:2

We enter our places of assembly to worship 
We exit our places of assembly to serve

When Jesus Ascended

"Now when He had spoken these things, while they watched, he was taken up and a cloud received Him out of their sight.

And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as He went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel, who said, "Men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up heaven? This name Jesus, who was taken from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven"".

CONVERSION AND CHANGES INVOLVED

  • PSALM 19:7 "The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul."
  • PSALM 51:13 "Then will I teach transgressors thy ways; and sinners shall be converted to them."
  • MATTHEW 18:3-"And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye the converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven."
  • ACTS 3:19- Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sine may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord."
CONVERSION
  • From two Greek words
  • Means: "turn" "turning"
  • Appears 48 times in the New Testament,39 times translated "turn", 9 times translated "convert"
  • A spiritual turning which is man's own act in response to God's command.
  • Man is responsible for turning to God.
  • Must be according to the commands of the Lord rather than the feeling of the individual.
THREE BASIC CHANGES MUST OCCUR IN SPIRITUAL CONVERSION

1. The HEART (affection) must be changed from the love of sin to the love of God.

2. The LIFE (conduct) of man must be changed from sin to righteousness.

3. The STATE (relationship) of man must be changed from the realm of Satan's rule to God's Kingdom.
  • HEARING brings faith and faith changes the heart to obey.
  • BELIEF leads to repentance.
  • REPENTANCE changes life
  • CONFESSION changes allegiance.
  • BAPTISM changes one's state or relationship.
"And said, "Assuredly, I say to you, unless you are converted and become as little children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven."Matthew 18:5.
